Wedding | Andrew & Katrina

May 10, 2017

From the day I sat down with Andrew and Katrina in a coffee shop, I could tell right away that I was going to like their style! I noticed her rose gold ring and was instantly a fan. I can remember him wearing a pair of modern glasses that only the right kind of guy can pull off. And he wore them well! That was my shallow, first impression of the two of them… But I quickly learned that these two were fun to talk to, super cute together, and shared a vision for their wedding that I could easily hop on board with.

I take notes during my meetings… because, let’s face it… I have a terrible memory! Looking back, I wrote down, “blush and navy, Kentucky Derby Party feel, soft romantic flowers with greenery, ceremony outside, eating outside”....!!! My goodness, these people know what I love! There should be another blog post titled, “How to Make Your Photographer Happy.” It would go something like; have the whole wedding outside, have lots and lots of flowers and greenery, choose a classy subtle color, have the best wedding ever! Andrew and Katrina did just that. I was so excited for their wedding, but even our meeting couldn’t prepare me for all the wonderful, beautiful things she had planned! Take a look.

If you are a bride preparing for your own wedding, take a few notes from our lovely Katrina. She got ready in a room with windows on 3 sides! South-facing windows bring in the most light! You cannot beat natural light. It provides me with the soft light necessary to create clean, pure, and flattering images. AndrewKatrina_0003.jpg AndrewKatrina_0027.jpg AndrewKatrina_0005.jpg

They found a venue near Buffalo, New York that allowed for plan A to be outdoors, and plan B to be indoors. What better way to celebrate your wedding than with toasts and a dinner outdoors in the warm, summer air… and the same area converts into a hangout spot under string lights and stars at the end of the night. Knox Farms has got it right!
