Engagement | RJ & Kayleigh
Nov 20, 2017
Do you ever take time to think about how perfectly all the pieces of your life needed to fall into place in order for you to even meet your significant other?
You all know mine and Caleb’s story (maybe you don’t but that’s an idea for another blog post!), and well, I think about how Caleb’s mom needed to come home from Colorado to Buffalo in order to meet Caleb’s dad. But what if Caleb’s dad continued to follow work in Syracuse instead of heading back to Buffalo with his wife and kids? What if they didn’t get the idea to go to Hamburg and be a part of Hamburg Wesleyan? What if my dad was a big jerk and didn’t remember young Caleb’s name (which played a huge role in Caleb deciding to come to camp at age 14)? What if I took on a different regular job on camp weekends instead of running the soundboard and slides when the cute boy on stage sang and played guitar? What if…?
And what if RJ and Kayleigh didn’t both choose Cedarville University? And what if they didn’t talk to the right people at just the right time in order to make the same mutual friends? And what if those friends never hung out and never gave RJ and Kayleigh opportunities to hang out? What if?
Take the time to think about all the ways the stars had to align for your life to be the way it is. It’s a good way to remain thankful. Especially on this Thanksgiving week!
These two are brave, adventurous souls! Looking for unique engagement photos, they chose a creek. And they also chose to get in the freezing water, but to let their love keep them warm (awweeeeeeeeeee).
As they look forward to their wedding this spring, RJ and Kayleigh have an interesting time ahead of them. They will be living halfway between the hospital Kayleigh works at and RJ’s law school. It will be quite the commute for both of them, but life is better together! Happy for you both!
Congratulations!
Want to see some weddings!? Here are a few that I love!
