Wedding | Eric & Heidi
Aug 17, 2018
Due to some last minute changes, Eric and Heidi’s wedding fell into my lap just two weeks before their wedding date. Heidi and I planned a coffee date the week of the wedding, and I was so relieved to meet the kindest bride with a heart of gold. She told me detail after detail about their wedding and every little thing she said, made me so excited to be a part of this wedding day.
Not only was I excited about the soft pink dresses, outdoor wedding, and tent reception… I also was very quickly catching on to how important many people involved in the wedding were to Heidi. She explained her close family relationships and the recent hard times because of illness. She glowed when talking about a special little boy, Enzo, who she loves very much (and his mommy, too). She mentioned person after person and how much she loves them… her siblings, nieces, nephews, parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents, bridesmaids... everyone. I knew right away in this meeting that she is one of the kindest souls who just loves everyone and cares so incredibly deeply about her people. And this is the kind of wedding I want to be a part of.
Eric’s family owns land about an hour southeast from the city of Buffalo. The entire wedding took place on the family’s property! It was a gorgeous, one of a kind location, with land that was so much fun for me to photograph their wedding on!
Heidi got ready in a beautiful, little house right next to where the ceremony would take place.
Eric and his groomsmen got ready in a separate house across the road!
The ceremony was emotional, funny, and sweet. And I think you can tell from my pictures how happy and comfortable Heidi was… she just glowed!
After the Bride and Groom’s portraits, the reception began with introductions and toasts!
Partway through dinner, the couple cut the cake, and visited with all their guests. So many laughs and smiles were had under this tent! Everyone had a great time!
The Bride and Groom had their first dance as a married couple. Eric danced with his mom. And Heidi had an emotional dance with her mom. One of my favorite parts of the day.
Eric and Heidi,
Although we didn’t have much time to get to know each other, I am grateful for the connection we made. I am so so glad I was privileged enough to photograph your powerful wedding and to document the relationships you two have with each other and with your loved ones. I know how much you love your family and friends, I hope these photos reflect that accurately and that they are cherished for years to come. When your nieces and nephews grow up, you can look back at these photos to show them how much they were loved even back before they can remember. I hope you look at these photos and all the emotions come back to you.
Thank you for welcoming me into your special day. Your family and bridal party was a joy to spend time with. I wish you both the best in your marriage. Congratulations!
Love,
Hannah

Take a look at my travel calendar and let me know if you want photos anywhere!
Also, if you have a Disney trip planned, message me regardless of your dates! You bring me there (which will be very comparable to paying for a session in Buffalo) and the photos are yours! Yay! (And I’m happy to set you up with some tips and advice before your trip if you’re looking for help with anything!) And yes, that isn’t a typo on my travel calendar… we will be “snow-birding” near Disney World in Florida for SIX weeks next winter! And I’m available to take photos all around Orlando! Introduce yourself… I love making friends!
