Wedding | Emil & Megan | Knox Farm

Emil and Megan are married!!!! What an amazing day to start my 2021 wedding season off strong! Knox Farm is definitely a favorite of mine for so many reasons! Since my first wedding here 4 years ago, I’ve been on the property numerous times for family, senior, and engagement sessions! You can’t beat the variety of locations Knox Farm provides.

Emil and Megan are so loved by all their family members… and after spending the day with them, it’s easy to see why!

Reason #101 why I love weddings at Knox Farm: this “secret” room behind a bookshelf! 3 walls of windows and everything inside is WHITE! What a perfect setting for the bride to get ready in!

Even the room available for the groom to get ready in is nice and bright!

The weather this day was PERFECT for a spring wedding. The only time we could consider it “hot” was during the ceremony! The rest of the day was the absolute dream for a May wedding. We were so fortunate and couldn’t stop raving about how perfect the weather was.

Knox Farm has a large old house that they converted to a wedding venue! The upstairs has so many rooms for the bridal party to get ready in. And downstairs is perfect for the dance floor, dinner, a buffet of food, and the bar… oh and cupcakes. Lots of cupcakes.

During the cocktail hour, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and the beautiful grounds at Knox Farm for bride and groom portraits as well as bridal party portraits. What a good lookin’ couple, huh!? Megan’s smile is truly contagious. These pictures make me smile just looking at them!

One of the biggest takeaways from this wedding… the bridal party was SO warm and friendly! All the family members were so nice. I was approached repeatedly by people making sure I didn’t need anything. But what really stood out to me was how kind the groomsmen were!

My usual experience with groomsmen includes far too much alcohol, the occasional one hitting on me, and just a rowdy group in general! I don’t blame them… they are looking for a fun time! Nobody wants to listen to the short girl with the cameras. ;) I’m used to this as most of my weddings are like this… but not Emil’s groomsmen! They were four of the nicest guys, LOOKING to help me out. They were so respectful and genuinely helpful when I would ask them to do something. I didn’t get to know these guys well enough to know if they’re single, but ladies – I have contact info I can share. ;)

How fun are these bridesmaid dresses!? The mixmatched jewel tones with a variety of materials... it looks so good together.

Congratulations Emil & Megan! Your day was my first full wedding (from getting ready in the morning to the open dance floor at night) since October 2019!! It feels so good to be back and I loved that your wedding will always be that for me. You guys are the best.
