Read about how I met Kris and Jerri here! It’s a very cool story that involves them coming up to me in New York for their destination wedding and me going down to them (near Orlando) for their engagement session! I love that I was able to spend time with them and get to know them before their wedding. It made the wedding experience so much easier because I already felt like they were friends of mine! :)
Kris and Jerri’s wedding day was truly one I’ll never forget. I drove to the Adirondacks from Buffalo, New York to their family’s property on Star Lake and was blown away by the view that greeted me! Their ceremony space was set up with the lake in the background and pine trees surrounding us. The threatening rain held off until right before the ceremony started, and fortunately… Kris and Jerri chose to do a first look so most of their portraits were done before the rain even started! And boy are we grateful the rain held out... because when it rained, it POURED!
Talk about a picture perfect wedding. Jerri pulled off what I thought was impossible… the perfect TINY wedding. With only around 20 guests, this wedding was small and intimate… and oh so special! It took place on land that meant a lot to the couple, and they handpicked their closest family and friends. Their bridal party was made up of one maid of honor and two best men. Their precious dogs were a big part of the day and walked down the aisle before Jerri. The week leading up to the wedding included Adirondack lake house fun with their guests. And my favorite part… the decorations were perfect in every single way. Farm house tables and benches, vintage furniture for the bar, “grazing table,” and cake. Mix matched rugs throughout the décor that only Jerri could pull off so flawlessly! I loved it all!
